Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what information p5n collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Misri Trivedi (“p5n”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use the p5n website, apps and services (the “Service”). It applies to parents, guardians, Providers and other visitors.
We are based in India and follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you use the Service from outside India, this policy still applies, and we aim to honour the core privacy rights (such as access and deletion) recognised in regions like the EU/UK.
2. Who is responsible for your data
Misri Trivedi, an individual (sole proprietor) based at 26, KPS, Behind Linde, Nilamber Circle, Vadodara, Gujarat, India, is responsible for the personal information handled through the Service. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@p5n.in. You can also reach our Grievance Officer, Misri Trivedi, at hello@p5n.in (see “Your rights” below).
3. Information we collect
We collect the following, depending on how you use the Service:
- Account details — your name, email, phone number and city when you register.
- Child details you provide — information a parent or guardian enters about a child to find suitable activities, such as the child’s first name, age or age-group, and areas of interest. See the Children’s data section below.
- Provider details — for academies/coaches: business name, listing content, batches, timings, pricing, photos and contact information.
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, searches, approximate location, device and browser type, and similar analytics data (see Cookies).
- Communications — messages, enquiries and support requests you send through or to the Service.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, and provide the Service.
- Match families with relevant activities and Providers.
- Let parents contact Providers, and Providers respond to enquiries.
- Verify and review Provider listings to support trust and safety.
- Send service messages, and (with your consent) updates or offers you can opt out of.
- Improve, secure and troubleshoot the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Our basis for using your data
We process personal information based on your consent (which you can withdraw), to provide a service you have asked for, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service safely. Where the law requires consent — including for a child’s information — we rely on the consent of a verifiable parent or guardian.
6. Children's data
p5n is designed for parents and guardians, not for children to use directly. Children may not create accounts. Where the Service involves a child’s information, it is provided by, and under the control of, the child’s parent or guardian.
- We collect a child’s information only from a parent or guardian, and only what is needed to suggest suitable activities (for example, first name, age or age-group, and interests).
- By providing a child’s details, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and consent to this use.
- We do not knowingly use a child’s information for behavioural tracking or targeted advertising.
- A parent or guardian can review, update or delete a child’s information at any time by contacting us at hello@p5n.in.
If you believe a child’s information has been shared with us without proper authorisation, contact hello@p5n.in and we will take steps to remove it. [DPDP has specific rules for verifiable parental consent and processing children’s data — have a lawyer confirm your consent flow meets them.]
9. How long we keep your data
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After your account is closed or an enquiry is completed, we retain it only as long as required for legitimate business or legal purposes — generally up to 24 months — after which we delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required by law.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your information, or a child’s information you provided.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave (this won’t affect past processing).
- Raise a complaint about how we handle your data.
To exercise any of these, email hello@p5n.in. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact our Grievance Officer, Misri Trivedi, at hello@p5n.in, and you may also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India (or your local regulator).
11. How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
12. International users and transfers
We are based in India, and your information may be stored and processed in India or in other countries where we or our service partners operate. Where information is transferred across borders, we take steps to protect it consistent with this policy and applicable law.
13. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites and Providers we do not control. This policy does not cover their practices — please review their own privacy policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
